What does your icon corner look like?

What does your icon corner look like? This is mine. 😃 A very kind member on this fourm gave me the icons of the Joy of All Who Sorrow and of Saint Paraskevi.

I wish I have one. I need to get one started. Problem is I don’t know where to get icons locally, there doesn’t seem to be an Eastern bookstore in the area.
 
I don’t have an icon corner in my dorm. In fact, I don’t even technically have a real icon in my dorm; all I have is one printed out. However, it is perhaps my favorite, and it always pierces my heart with it’s beauty and depth. I have it placed right above the head of my bed 🙂
 
Icon for a Dorm Room !

As a Melkite, I was concerned about sending my son to a Jesuit university . . . . . so I got him a copy of the icon of St. Peter the Aleut to display in his dorm room. My son is not very religious - but I think he enjoyed sharing this story of Western treatment of East !

I’ve also contemplated printing out an icon of Christ and a Guardian Angel. Probably should. :o

Anyway, to answer your inquiry… 1/2 of my family is Catholic…

My aunt Mary is 83 years old and lives in New Jersey - well - every time she visits me here in NY, she brings me Our Lady of Guadalupe candles… by the case…!!! 😛

I have enough candles to light up the entire island… 😃
 
Don’t want to make people jealous, but our icon corner is what used to be the dining room. All 4 walls are covered with icons 😃

I was reading a book, I believe it was Everyday Saints, or somewhere saw a picture of an old Orthodox priest’s room. It was covered floor to ceiling with icons. What a wonderful place to go to pray. Just imagine.

I have bought a few from www.skete.com they sell affordably priced laminated ones that I have framed. One day, I will buy the one below
 
Just put it up during the Christmas week. Need to find a suitable oil lamp now.

East, North, South and West walls of our prayer room.

We have a divan on the West side where we can sit or recline to read or simply be surrounded by the Saints. We still have quite a few icons to put up.
I haven’t shown the small table in the middle as it is a bit of a mess at the moment 😛
