It seems that the magisterium can teach on anything and everything since everything has some connection to faith and morals. For instance, the church could teach under this heading that israel had to exist or else jesus couldn’t exist but that would invalidate the faith, so obviously the church could teach that israel had to exist. Also, the church could teach on prudential matters too since prudence is a virtue, but the church is authorized to teach about morality and faith, so even prudential matters can be subject to church intervention.
Obviously though the above is wrong so I’m asking, why am I wrong? What doesn’t fit under faith and morals?
