What else do we know from Tradition?

I know that Tradition is one of the three legs of the Church; major traditions include the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption. Minor ones include the story of Veronica, and the reason St. Joseph is portrayed with a lily growing from his staff. What are some of the others?

Hi,

We ordinarily don’t call these traditions. We refer to them revealed truths that we know from tradition–oral tradition. Originally, all we had was oral tradition until the Gospels were written and authorized by the Church as sacred and inspired. See

The identities of Our Lady’s parents, Joachim and Anna come to us through Sacred Tradition as well as the description of Jesus falling as He carried the cross. Actually, the Immaculate Conception and the Assumption are supported my Sacred Scripture as well as Sacred Tradition:

Lk. 1:28-37 To be full of grace is to be without sin.
Gn. 3:15 Complete enmity between the woman and Satan.
Rev. 11:19-12:1 Ark in heaven – woman clothed with the Sun
