Is telling your kids Santa exists a mortal sin? Moral Theology
Just thinking about this. In a few years I’ll start telling my daughter that a fat man in a red suit came in our house on Christmas Eve and left all the presents that are under the tree. This will obviously be a blatant lie I will be telling this like knowingly (even premeditatively) I will go to great lengths (long explanations and cookie eating) to maintain this lie. Which reminded me of a film about St Nicholas of Myra that was due to come out about ten years ago but I never heard anything about it since. Actually I just googled it and there is a page about the movie but I don’t know why production has taken so much longer than they originally thought.
