The actions that constitute pedophilia are condemned - for example the rape of unmarried women is condemned, and homosexuality is condemned, which protects both boys and girls.
The problem with homosexuality being condemned is this: a boy who is raped by a man will be condemned for being raped.

No more so than a woman being raped by a heterosexual man. The person being assaulted is not guilty of any crime or sin.

I was . What is the churches view on this?

God bless
the church says look in the dictionary for the definition of the word. Sodomy is literally the sin of Sodom, men attempting a perversion of the sexual act with each other, and by analogy women attempting such perversions with each other, and the medical literature defines the physical aspects of those actions. Bestiality is another grave sin, attempted intercourse with animals. Every sin has a name, a normal accepted word in the medical or psychiatric lexicon, and that is the word we use in confession or in discussion of the moral implications. Any action that attempts to pervert the purpose of sexuality and intercourse by going against the clear plan of nature is also a sin because it violates either of the two purposes of sexual expression, unity of the partners and openness to life.
The literal definition of sodomy is anal intercourse, bestiality is also condemned. However, I find it most disturbing that the bible does not condemn pedophilia. .
it does in quite strong terms, the euphemisms and in some case very blunt terminology Paul uses, where he restates Jewish and Christian law, make it very clear pedophilia is condemned as in fact the words for intercourse with children, young boys and men, and adult homosexual acts were almost synonymous, and to condemn one was to condemn all, because the “lifestyle” that allowed and encouraged such relationships asssumed all these activities would be part of it.
