I am a single Catholic woman; pro-life, support traditional priesthood (no women), support traditional marriage, believe in the doctrine of the Church, am practicing (receive sacraments as frequently as I can, attend mass whenever possible all Sundays and during the week, regular confession, etc…).
I also have a professional career which is very demanding. I see the many ways in which women are demeaned, nowadays very much less obviously, paid less, work harder than men to achieve half the results and I just cannot figure out why the Catholic Church feels so threatened by feminism? What is so terribly immoral about insisting that women deserve equal treatment under the law? That women need to be responsible for themselves and think, not defer to men on important decisions involving their material and spiritual well-being? That women have brains, potential and gifts they need to use? That women have ideas and a voice that needs to be heard as well as a man’s?
Any answers?
