People,

What would happens to the married couple or family after passing away from the earth ? [eg. Died]
Does both people still know each other and continues to living happily in heaven or as different individual ?

I wonder if anyone here know the scripture or the passage in the bible that mentions or explains the above situation ?

Thanks in advance.

Well in heaven there will not be marriage as we know it now.

Christ taught that there is no marriage in Heaven, but also that we cannot begin to know what Heaven will be like.

Gospel of Matthew Chapter 22:
23That day there came to him the Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection; and asked him, 24Saying: Master, Moses said: If a man die having no son, his brother shall marry his wife, and raise up issue to his brother. 25Now there were with us seven brethren: and the first having married a wife, died; and not having issue, left his wife to his brother. 26In like manner the second, and the third, and so on to the seventh. 27And last of all the woman died also. 28At the resurrection therefore whose wife of the seven shall she be? for they all had her.
29And Jesus answering, said to them: You err, not knowing the Scriptures, nor the power of God. 30 For in the resurrection they shall neither marry nor be married; but shall be as the angels of God in heaven. 31And concerning the resurrection of the dead, have you not read that which was spoken by God, saying to you: 32I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. 33And the multitudes hearing it, were in admiration at his doctrine.

Do you believe there can still be some form of romantic relationship similar to marriage in the way that God created man and woman in the beginning? This might be a deeper question.

I think one will know their spouse and can remember their life on earth but they will have a different relationship. There will be a deeper love for each other, one that surpassses any sort of physical and spiritual intimacy we have in marriage n earth. Just my 2 cents.

I think this reply is right on the money. The love we will experience in heaven will surpass anything we know or understand here. And I cannot believe that the love for a spouse will be on the same level as the love we will feel for all the communion of saints. God became man, not because He couldn’t understand humanity, but because he wanted to show us, his understanding is born of not only logic but experience. As He knows the love for a spouse, I cannot conceive of Him diminishing that love in his kingdom.

Yes but not only will one love their spouse with that love but other people as well.

Definitely true. My statement was meant to say that the Father understands the love one has for a spouse, and would never diminish that, even though the capacity to love would be eternally expanded in the soul of one in His Presence.

Yes I think there will be a little extra there since ones spouse on earth was a channel of grace to get to heaven and be closer to God. You might say…a attitude of thankfulness…
