**I keep the Biblical 7th day Sabbath because it’s
a). One of the 10 Commandments
b). God rested on the 7th day in Genesis,
c). It was given in Exodus before the 10 Commandments,
d). The 7th day Sabbath is the only day that God Himself blessed, hallowed, sanctified and made holy. No other day was made that way,
e).The Sabbath is a delight and honorable and we will be blessed by God for keeping it (Isaiah 58).
f).We will be keeping in in Heaven (Isaiah 66).
g). The disciples, Jew and Gentile alike kept it in the New Testament.
h). “Sunday” in the Bible is simply titled ‘the 1st day of the week’. It was never called the Sabbath, it was never called a day of rest, was never blessed, sanctified and hallowed by God, it wasn’t even called ‘the Lord’s Day’ in the Scriptures.
i). Over and over again Jesus said he is Lord of the Sabbath in the NT.
I can go on with more but I must get some sleep if I plan on making it to Mass early tomorrow morning.
No man or woman, no church, has the power or authority to change what thus saith the LORD.
But with that said, I attend church on the 1st day of the week… then again, I try to get to Mass every day the church doors are open.
