What happened today?

I watched a couple of hours of news coverage today. CNN and FOX. So as usual there was plenty of talk about the president. Russia says he is destabalizing the world. CNN says he is a racist. FOX says he is a good guy. After everything I watched, the one thing I really don’t know much about, is what did the government do on Monday, January 15, 2018?

Does anyone report the news anymore?
