what happens to the soul when you die? Is it judge right way or waits for ressurection day and if it does where is it meantime? This has always puzzle me.🤷:

Hello and welcome Amfernandez,
The soul is judged, we are judged as to whether we are saved for heaven or for hell, if the soul hasn’t been purified completely before death the purification will continue in the state we Catholics call Purgatory. Then we will be together with all in heaven.
I suppose, at the second judgment all left in Purgatory and on earth at that time will be judged together. Hopefully, clearer answers will be forthcoming, God bless, Peace, Carlan

Yes, the particular judgment then hell or heaven (perhaps through purgation).

The souls is immortal as Jesus said, “fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.” so we can see that the soul cannot be destroyed.

In death, the body separates from the soul, the human body decays, and the soul goes to meet God, while awaiting its reunion with its glorified body (C 997). So when people die the soul lives on and waits with God to be brought back to life (this will be the ressurection on the last day)

When the ressurection happens the dead will be bought back to life.

What you have said is not correct.

When we die we are immediately judged (the Particular Judegment) and if we die in a state of mortal sin we immediately go to Hell (forever) or if we die in a state of grace we are saved (forever).

The Final Judgement confirms the Particular Judgement for those who had already died and Judgement is made for those living when Christ comes again at which time the dead will be reunited with their bodies.
 
When each of us dies, our souls are immediately judged by God. This is called the Particular Judgment. At this point we begin our eternal destiny. If we are going to hell, our souls go directly there. If we are deemed worthy of heaven, our souls will go directly to heaven, or if we are going to heaven but are in need of purification, we may go to Purgatory first for a while (everyone in Purgatory will eventually go to heaven). Whatever our fate, our souls will stay there (heaven or hell) until the end of time, at which time the Second Coming will occur.

At the Second Coming at the end of time, those Christians still alive and who are in a state of sanctifying grace will be taken to heaven (what some Protestants think of as of the rapture). Then will occur the General Judgment. At that time the souls of the living and the dead will be reunited with their bodies and brought together in God’s presence and judged before all. Those who have already been judged in the Particular Judgment will be brought from wherever their souls were -heaven, hell or Purgatory-- and have their judgment confirmed before all, so that both the justice and mercy of God will be manifest to all. No one will wonder why someone they thought was going to heaven is not there, and why someone they thought might not make it to heaven is there.

After this, time and Purgatory will be no more and all will enter with their souls and bodies into their eternal destiny, either hell or heaven.
