What happens to the souls of the unborn?

My daughter is working on her religion book (7th grade) and it states in her book that “Jesus tells his friend Nicodemus that no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and spirit”. She asked me (her mother) then do the unborn babies get to go to heaven? I am not 100% sure of the answer so I thought I would try here to find out.
