Since we have about a week left, I thought I’d start a thread on things we’ve learned on CAF.

I put it in casual discussion because I mean somewhat light hearted things.

I am a revert to the faith I stopped practicing fully when I was a teen, and then came back as an adult, around the time I joined with my first account.

So some terminology I wasn’t very familiar with.

Marital debt was one term I learned on CAF. I at first thought it had to do with mortgages and credit cards.

Another one the old forum had the ability to have post scripts on your posts. I used to see “Tiber Swim Team” as a frequent one.

I thought, wow, a lot of people went to the same school.

I have learned many rare and unusual words by playing Change One Letter.

I have learned that some Catholics disagree deeply with some other Catholics about things that most other Catholics don’t worry about.

I have learned, or am learning, how to be humble. I write a great post, sit back and wait for the replies and likes to roll in, and… (sound of crickets).

In order to facilitate your humility enhancement, I will not reply to this post. 😉

Sometimes something is lost in the telling of something that might be for you alone. To keep close council and to pray for all those around you because you never know how hard life is for many .

I learned that it is a bad idea to argue with or criticize the moderators. Does not produce a favorable result for yourself.
