I’m sure some of you are aware of my “Jehovah’s Witness Nightmare” post from around a week or so ago. So, while it started with us being not so very friendly, it ended on a friendly note. Perhaps he realized he wasn’t going to sway my opinion on the Trinity, or on any other dogmatic Catholic teaching. I can’t really say.
I had decided to use an upcoming cruise I’m going on (hurry up next Sunday!!) as an example in my argument. Now I tell you what, I could not get this guy to get off of the Trinity attacks, no matter how many questions I asked him about the peculiar beliefs of JW’s. But somehow, that cruise comment moved him off of his attack. I don’t regret engaging in this conversation, but I do regret getting angry with him.
Here’s what I learned:

- No matter how strong our differences in religion are we are still God’s children. 2. We are still people with feelings. 3. Being an apologist without charity or love only moves a person further away from the truth. 4. I don’t know as much about my religion or the Bible as I should. I have so much studying to do. I believe God brought me into that conversation to help me realize this.
