What if…

Every time we baked, we made two batches, and gave one to our hungry brethren or a lonely neighbor?

What if,

we remembered our daughter or son at college had a room-mate and sent something to both of them when we mailed a gift?

we filled our grocery carts with just a few extra items, and dropped them at the church pantry or nearest food bank?

we found a bargain on coats and gave one away?

we made it a habit to bake an extra casserole each week and delivered it to someone in the parish?

we called an elderly friend, a shut in, before we went to the drug or grocery store and offered to pick something up once a week?

we shared a ride to Mass…

Learned where the nearest Catholic Worker House is and helped supply items on their most wanted food or clothing and supplies list? :grouphug:

Add your new ideas…

What if…

…instead of rushing to be first, we moved a little slower toward the lineup so to let someone else who is approaching get in line ahead of us.

…we prayed for the intentions of others before considering our own.

…we made an effort to notice people and smile at them instead of avoiding or ignoring them.

What if we parked further from an entrance so someone else can have the nearer spot - especially in cold or inclement weather.

Great thread.

Sharing is part of daily Catholic life, if you are doing it right, imo. It is loving God and loving your neighbor as yourself, which Christ said were the two most important commandments.

It’s so lovely to see a thread like this and know that other people live their lives the same way and between all of us who do so, we are spreading the actual meaning of Christ’s sacrifice and drawing other’s to God’s love by example.

What if we didn’t share a ride to mass because we didn’t use birth control and there wasn’t room?

I could be wrong about this, but I think people do this sort of thing a lot. Still, it’s a good reminder.

:thumbsup:especially in parishes where we have three or 4 handicapped spaces and many many older and or disabled family members.

what if those of us who don’t have a job to offer someone (especially young people) spend 10 or 15 minutes giving pointers on how to find a job instead of just saying “not hiring” .

These ideas everyone has added are wonderful! Thank you for the kind comments also. Please keep adding on. These are all new ideas and great for everyone to keep in mind!!! Often it’s the little, surprising things that bless others. :newidea::angel1::signofcross:
