As I read this article, something came home to me in a new way. Very often it is not when God asks something that will bring us honour and and sense of being priviledged and special that is the real honour and priviledge God can bestow…rather it is when for His sake and the sake of The Kingdom we are asked to embrace the cross and suffering and without anyone else, not one single person, humanly understanding nor appreciating. The question may strike you as irreverent. How dare I suggest that the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Heaven, Co-Redemptrix of mankind, could have left us in the lurch like that?
