What if we can't make it to Christmas Mass?

I am going home to my parents’ house for Christmas. They live in an area that is only accessible by boat (i.e. ferry), and between the ferry schedule and helping elderly grandparents arrive safely, we (those of us who are practicing Catholics) have been unsuccessful in so far finding a Christmas Mass we can attend. Will we be in a state of sin if we are unable to meet our Christmas obligation?
