Hi all,
I have a question. Back in July, talk show host Laura Ingraham had some items stolen from her luggage. Among these was what she described as a “baptismal cross.”
You can read about it here.

From what I have been able to determine, she is referring to a four-way cross medal necklace, similar or identical to the following item sold by the Catholic Company:

My question is, what exactly is a “baptismal cross.” It’s not a term I’m familiar with. The article says that she received it at her baptism. Is it common for adult converts to receive crosses at one’s baptism as part of the process?
