One definition here.

“For Jews the site is the traditional location of David’s Tomb (the pseudo-tomb not the actual tomb) marked by a small synagogue on the first floor. Christians regard this location as that of the ancient venue of the Upper Room or Cenacle.”

Funny, when I was a small child (pre-Catholic school days) I was instructed in the faith by an order of sisters who taught us public schoolers after school. They were Trinitarians, God Bless them. They worked out of a building called the Cenacle.

members of the Marian Movement of Priests, started by Fr. Gobbi, who claimed to receive locutions from Mary, meet together in cenacles, or rosary prayer groups, to pray the rosary for the intentions of the pope, for vocations and in support of priests, and to read and meditate on the writings of Fr. Gobbi, that also could be the meaning of cenacle.
