Can someone explain to me what is Petrine Privilege and how it is used?

Do you have to have an annullment for a natural marriage say between a baptized christian and an unbaptised mormon?

The Petrine Privilege can also be used when both parties are unbaptized and the Pauline Privilege does not apply.

A person in a natural marriage would need to seek the counsel of their pastor on the matter.

Both a full tribunal nullity process and the Petrine Privilege would be options, although neither is guaranteed, depending on circumstances of the individual case.

If there are good grounds for nullity, that is the likely avenue the diocese will take rather than petitioning the Pope.
