what does the church teach is OK to do before you’re married (as far as physical things go)? i’ve heard a couple different answers.

You can go as far as you would want the 18 yo boyfriend to go with your 16 yo daughter.

Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want someone else doing with your future spouse.

A lot of cold showers… alone… kiss and hug like she is your favorite aunt 🙂

make the engagement period short… good luck and congrats if this is the right one.

For girls, the wearing of burka’s is recommended. (Especially by their fathers.)

Helpful sort, aren’t they! I’ve got the same questions as you. Sometimes I think it best I just don’t date.

Sexual intimacy does not help a relationship. So therefore it is not acceptable before marriage. Even in the secular arena, books are written that finally are admitting “he is not really into you…” if the only thing you have that is keeping your relationship together is sex than there is no relationship and everyone deserves more. If you give your partner of the moment everything…and you do when you are intimate, than what do you have left for your future spouse. Aren’t they worth waiting for! Believe me, it is so much worth it to wait.

And more stuff here.

I suggest no more than short kissing and hand holding. Beyond that lies the near occasion(s) of sin.
