RO - do you think the ACLU is going to save youe soul?

I am not going to pepper you with platitudes - there are enogh Heritics & Mormons who will stroke your EGO

but be warned if you set your self as as an Enemy of the Catholic Church - I am the Reaper who will collect your SOUL
What are you talking about? I am SO AGAINST the ACLU, that if I was a gizillionaire, I would sue them to no avail and try to bring them down…please, you may have misunderstood me.

The ACLU does actually stand up for individual religious liberties for people of all faiths. See below link for details on cases prior to Nov. 2006.

ACLU Defense of Freedom of Religion and Religious ExpressionNovember 2006

*The ACLU is well known for its defense of the Establishment Clause against attempts to use the government to promote particular religious beliefs. The ACLU’s efforts defending freedom of religious expression are generally less known, although such work has been an important part of ACLU’s activities for many years. It is sometimes wrongly imagined, for example, that the ACLU does not vigorously protect rights of religious expression, particularly of Christians. The following recent cases illustrate just how wrong such misconceptions are.

No, since they don’t intend to attack the Church; they are just ignorant of its precepts and laws.

Also, I suspect that they vote for the “pro-abortion” party for reasons other than its stand on abortion. (I don’t even know who to vote for, any more - they all seem to be pro-death, one way or another.)

Not to go off on a sidebar here but the ACLU is not only anti-Christian - they are anti-God - PERIOD.
I saw a PBS special where the head of the ACLU at the time (about 10 years ago) said thet their mission is to go after anything that even mentions God or religion - especially Christianity. How could you even imply that they are champions of religious freedom?

I also see by your profile that you live in the “City of Angels” - Los Angeles, I presume. I’m also from So-Cal.
Don’t you remember about 3 years ago when they sued the County of Los Angeles to remove the cross on its crest? The County cowardly acquiesed - even though dozens of law firms in the area offered to take the case on a pro bono basis.

THEY are the ones who sue cities across the country for displaying the Ten Commandments or a Nativity scene or a cross. Remember that it was the ACLU that represented the “Roe” in Roe v. Wade - the landmark case that legalized abortion.

**Don’t be fooled by these rabid anti-God, Pro-Abortion jackals. **
Like Righteousone said - they are the enemy.

**
Attacking beliefs and practices of the Church simply for sport - THAT** is Anti-Catholic.

That would be too broad as well. In the philippines a lot of catholic filipinos make fun of catholic beliefs for sport. Want me to P.M. you an example? 😃

I don’t see how this can be construed as “too broad”.
ANYbody who attacks the Catholic Church is Anti-Catholic.
Just as anybody who attacks Jesus is Anti-Christ.

If you heard people attacking African Americans simply because of the color of their skin and ran around the “N-word”, you would call them racists.

When somebody attacks Jews - simply for being Jewish - they are Anti-Semitic.

If I went around verbally assaulting Protestants just because they are Protestants, then I would have to call myself an Anti-Protestant.**

If I heard a Catholic attacking the Catholic Church for sport - they would be Anti-Catholic. They would be Catholics in name only. I know a few of those . . .
