It is written in Matt. 13: 41…
"The Son of Man will dispatch his Angels to collect from His Kingdom all who draw others to apostasy, and all evildoers."
and
2 Thess. 2: 3 …
"let no one seduce you, no matter how, since the mass apostasy has not yet occurred nor the man of lawlessness been revealed…"

any insight on this anyone ?

according to Websters. That was easy. One should always have a dictionary nearby when reading the Bible.

Was there anything particular you were seeking by inviting insights? I too was uncertain.

The Church has its own notion and description of apostasy which can be consulted in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. One should have a copy handy when reading Scripture.

Consult 2089 of the CCC, which is derived from canon 751, scborromeo.org/ccc/p3s2c1a1.htm#2089.

From the broader perspective of the Church’s ultimate testing, the widespread “apostasis” in 2 Thess. 2:3 is also treated in the CCC at number 675. View scborromeo.org/ccc/p1s2c2a7.htm#675.

But a wide spread repudiation of God, the classic understanding of apostasy, and the unbridled exaltation of humanity, certainly seems characteristic of certain religious groups in the modern world. Some “Protestant” groups seem to be rushing headlong into the complete abandonment of any sense of Divine Revelation, divine moral law, or the divinity of Christ.

By the way, “gusano,” what translation were those verses from?

My question about Apostasy is;
  1. Has “The great apostasy” already come ?
  2. Is it going on now ?
    I agree with #3… that protestantism is the apostasy, and is going on now.
  3. What specifically does the apostasy center on ?
    I believe it centers on The Holy Eucharist, The Perpetual Sacrifice of Christ.
Am I out of order?
…because I have some related beliefs (insights?) on this.
