What is Clericalism?

People I have spoken to who grew up long before Vatican II have criticized the Tridentine Era for it’s so-called clericalism. They told me they were taught that the laity couldn’t really be holy- only priests and religious could be- and that if the laity stuck close to their priests and religious and obeyed them blindly, then they had a chance at being saved.

They also participate in a new clericalism- the liberal priests have their fun with the liturgy, and they go along with that, assuming that since a priest condones it (and they are comfortable with it), it must be ok, and they criticize those who disagree with the liberal clergy.

Poor guy, wow he sure needed therapy. Well, that’s why I guess the USA Bishop’s conference REQUIRES all those candidates who apply to the Novitiates/seminaries be evaluated with a series of Psychological battery tests: don’t say me here, nope: the US BISHOPS ESTABLISHED THE POLICY. WONDER WHY?
Code:
Yes, the policy is implemented here also where it began around the late 60’s early 70’s. Nonetheless it is not a perfect test…

These tests were performed on the very same priests who sodomize children.

And if one priest yells, screams and is arrogant does not necessarily show pathology.

Christ is risen…truly he is risen!

Actually the tests of the 1960’s and 1970’s IS NOT the same type of tests. Yup, that alone does not give a sense of pathology, I guess they have to mix love for their vocation too. Some that I knew became priests because their momies or granny’s wanted:hmmm: .
