What is courtship?

I want to teach my little sister about courtship, but I don’t even really know what it means, or how it works when the rubber meets the road so to speak. She is 16 and boy crazy. Not even a christian. But she listens to me, I am her “adopted big sister” I have talked about her before on this forum. She is dating boys and it is always a disaster.
I know that courtship is the best thing for young ladies - but I don’t even really know how to explain it.
I did give her the book by Jason Evert - “If you really loved me” . She likes it, but I need to be prepared to explain courtship. I have had chastity talks with her.
Can anyone help?

Further, CA Live (I think) had a guest on who was talking about her site, www.courtshipnow.com, and the teen-focused romance novel *Arms of Love. *Good Catholic stuff.

However, if your sister isn’t Christian then this might not be best - then again, it may. I haven’t read it, so I can’t really say.

Plug for the Holy Spirit: Have you been praying for your sister’s conversion? Perhaps dropped a copy of Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis on her?

He has six or seven daughters.
 
I personally wish this had been popular, or even mentioned, 30 years ago.

I only want to point out to stick with Catholic material on the matter, and not the books by Josh Harris.

The book Date or Soul Mate by Neil Clark Warren is another top pick, though not specifically about courtship.

Books by Steve Wood at dads.org are also good, such as “The ABC’s of Choosing a Good Husband” and as you have already stated, Jason Evert is excellent.
