A fantastic presentation.
I remember recording the video for Orientale Lumen Television/Eastern Christian Publications of Fr. Taft presenting his paper “Eastern Catholic Theology? Is There Such A Thing?” I thought then, and I think now, that it is the best presentation on the current state of Eastern Catholic theology and the direction it needs to go.
And having worked with him on several projects, I know that Fr. Taft is quite aware of the Oriental Catholics of the non-Byzantine traditions. However, as a Byzantine Catholic priest, his presentations were simply from the perspective of the Byzantine tradition.
