What Is Going On With Israeli Television?

I don’t disagree with you. I recently wrote to Melanie Philips about her anti-Catholic bigotry and hate, and two Israeli bloggers. You don’t think I focus ONLY on muslims do you? 😃

Oh, and don’t get me started on born agains and evangelicals. In a voice chat room I frequent, they have heard my voice, let me assure you. AND I’ve been pm’d by silent Catholics in those rooms to thank me for speaking out. By the way, I’m not talking about rooms discussing Christianity, I never bother with those rooms unless they are Catholic rooms.

I put these in the general category of anti-Catholic bigots; after all, it is still politically correct to slander Catholicism.

However, we are dealing here with something different to Islam, ie it is not a legal obligation as defined as a creator deity.
And suddenly, I understand. Is an anti Catholic bigot any worse than being an “anti Muslim, anti other christian faiths, anti Jewish who know God enough to know that Jesus is not Him, and anti Creations of God who have Jewish views and like to balance out the scales a bit in a discussion” bigot? Just curious. :o

Muslim Woman : you are an adherent of a geo-political ideology that has a world domination in the name of allah as its agenda. There is no comparison.

Melanie Philips is a journalist who failed in her role.♠️

I am asking you politely to please quit calling me Muslim Woman because I am not Muslim. Though I am open to their views, I do not subscribe to their theology and thus, your referring to me as such is misrepresentative of what I do subscribe to. You will be hard pressed to offend me, but to deny what I said I subscribe to is highly offensive to me. I take great Pride (not arrogance as you seem accustomed to) in worshiping the God of the people I love.

Your extreme hate is giving you extreme paranoia. You may either address me correctly or just post replies w/out addressing, but enough is enough. I suspect that you would be highly offended if I kept referring to you as something other than what you are. It is rude and tactless and does little to warrant any seekers outside of religion to consider your views, I am sure.

I am sure that the moderators could oblige you in showing you the error of your arrogance. 😉

My views, for the last time, are Jewish and I do not subscribe to Islam. I am sure you will be kind and offer up a sincere sorry for which I will accept wholeheartedly. 🙂

Oh, and that running to the moderators is sooooo Muslim Woman, :rotfl:

Israeli Sacrilege Angers Muslims, Christians

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM — Muslim and Christian leaders across the occupied Palestinian lands are shocked with repeated Israeli insults of the prophets and religious sanctities.

“I don’t really know when Jews will start to respect the religious sensitivities of non-Jews,” the Chief religious judge of Palestine, Dr. Taysir Tamimi, told IslamOnline.net on Saturday, February 28.

“It is very shocking and very telling that Jewish religious leaders in Israel and abroad have not condemned these blasphemous acts.”

Israeli media shocked millions of Muslims and Christians last week by mocking Jesus, his mother Mary and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him).

A TV comedy skit, hosted by Israeli comedian Lior Shlein, last week depicted Jesus as being “too fat” to have walked on water and that May was not virgin.

The insult came after the host angered million of Muslims when he pointed to one of his shoes, saying “This is Muhammad.”

“Muslims throughout the world have been shocked by the evil campaign waged against Islam and the Prophet (PBUH) and abuse of this shameful campaign against the sanctities with insults addressed against the Prophet and a religion followed by more than 1.5 billion Muslims,” said Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference.

“This shameful conduct came a few days after broadcasting insulting rhetoric against Prophet Jesus and his virgin mother, Mary, peace be upon them.”

Wicked, blasphemous

Salim Kubti, a lawyer representing Christian courts in Israel, said he was considering a libel suit against Channel-10, which hosted the comedy show.

“Such remarks go beyond satire and dark humor,” he told IOL.

"These are serious utterances insulting the sensibilities of every Christian and anyone who possesses values and mutual respect for other religions.

“It’s clear that Shlein is a failure and as a result is looking for any way to improve his ratings, and he is jumping on a sensitive issue.”

The Vatican labeled the Israeli show “a vulgar and offensive act of intolerance toward the religious sentiments of the believers in Christ.”

Some Christian leaders and clergymen even Pope Benedict XVI to postpone or cancel his planned visit to Israel, scheduled to take place in May.

…Jewish insults of Muslim and Christian symbols became more common and audacious in recent years.

I realize that this is terrible, especially in Israel, a land that I would think would never do this. Why do the Jews insist in mocking Christ? Didn’t they do this 2,000 years ago too?

  1. When will the Christians and the Muslims quit telling the Jewish, God’s chosen people, mind you, that they are always mistaken… since after all, the Word that you all piggy back off of was given by God VIA the Jewish? There is no valid complaint here since it is THEIR coat-tails upon which you all ride.
  2. Mary was not a virgin and the Laws of Nature (created BY God, Himself) will easily vouch that this was not an act of God since Malachi 3:6 states He does not change.
  3. It was the Romans ahem who put Jesus on the cross clearly. It was, after all, not a Jewish punishment… death by cross, that is. So, if anyone is to blame, for his suffering, it would be those who believe in the hellenistic mythologies. Besides, human sacrifice was never on the list of acceptable sacrifices to God; and certainly not for the atonement for mankind… is there even such a thing mentioned in the Tanakh? I would think the Muslims understood that given they subscribe to the same teaching of Abraham and his son (though, I know they assume different son… but still).
  4. And sheesh! Where is the sensitivity for the sanctity of the Scriptures given by God via His chosen? … again, not the Christians or the Muslims, but rather the Jewish people… declared by God, Himself and again confirmed not to change by God Himself in Malachi 3:6.
Psalm 2:
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

God directly declares his son is Israel. Exodus 4:22, 23; Hosea 11:1

And again, as it says in Malachi 3: 6… before Jesus was born, God does not change. Be grateful and let the envy go. There is no reason for it. 🙂

God loves us more than you and you’re just mad because you’re jealous.
And all of the commentary you have written gives you the right to insult our faith HOW? You are free to be as arrogant or unpleasant as you want, but why, in asserting your correctness, would you ever need to insult another’s faith? If you are correct and we are wrong, that is clear in your own soul and mind and in the great writers and theologians of the Jewish tradition. What does rubbing your “chosen people” status in our faces get you? Are you pleasing God that way? Could you not just as easily say something like “I do not believe in Christianity, so it’s claims are not sacred to me to begin with, but this is obviously offensive to the faith of billions of people worldwide, so I will condemn it as being in poor taste even though I will continue to not embrace claims of Christ’s divinity”? That’s not really any more words than your “we are better than you and you are jealous” diatribe, and it has the added bonus of not making you look like a heartless bastard.

I cannot speak for Muslims, but I know that we Christians recognize the historical greatness of the Jewish people. “Salvation is from the Jews”…we believe it, we worship one, and that’s it. There is no “jealousy” here. I would not be jealous of your arrogance and inability to phrase your religious disagreement in a way that respects ours.

Muslims respect both Mother Mary & Jesus (pbuh). We don’t insult them…
But Muslims do not respect our faith.Christians or others are not secured in Muslim countries.

We see evidence with the shock of the islamic world over atrocities and persecution of Christians every day. We see examples of their respect for Christians every day.

Hamas introduces shariah criminal code in the area occupied by muslims called Gaza, which includes crucifixion. Crucifixion was a Roman punishment, not an arab one. The arabs from mohammed’s region were NEVER within the Roman Empire.

Most of us know about the desecration of Christian Churches and other religions temples over the 1400 years of islamic imperialism. Within living memory we have the philistines occupying Judea and Samaria hiding in the Church of the Nativity to fire at Israel. They used Christian holy sites before they came up with the better idea of using their women and children.

The islamic world’s response, as usual, is pure hypocrisy.

“Salvation is from the Jews”…we believe it, we worship one, and that’s it.
The paraphrasing job of my post is funny. It cheered me right up. And clearly you are not jealous. 🙂

I am not Jewish by the way. 🙂

God is clear. Israel is His chosen Son, which Jesus is only but a part of.

Jesus agreed. He said that all one has to do is search the Scriptures to see his teachings were confirmed there.

Two things to note about this:
  1. The Scriptures he spoke of did not include the NT since that did not exist at the time of Jesus. That excludes Paul’s teachings altogether. Paul did not have the stamp of approval by Jesus, else Jesus would have said, “Search the Scriptures and the teachings of Paul.” He did not, so Paul is not a validated point of reference. The Law and the Prophets; there is where you will find what you need to know for deciphering the truth from the lies…
  2. If there is something attributed to Jesus that can not be found in the Law and the Prophets, then we know by Nature of Reason that it was inserted under false pretenses. This is fact. Isaiah also testifies to this fact. 8:20 “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” <---- that became my rule of thumb in learning to decipher the truth from the lies and that valuable treasure was handed to me by none other than a Jew who was not Jesus, but certainly as important as Jesus.
So, I guess God was right after all! He did mean Israel was His chosen son since clearly you will not find it written in the Law and the Prophets that “Jesus is the chosen and only son of God.” Amazing how a bit of logic and diligently searching for the Truth can clear things right up! 👍

Truth sealed with Malachi 3: 6…

I guess this means that you will take your Pauline doctrine and leave their Scriptures at the door where you found them assuming you will not be agreeing with God and His Word since your god contradicts their God. At that point, when you quit supporting yours with theirs, then you will have valid reason to have your complaints heard. 🙂

we worship one
I think I located the reason for your jealousy. God did not say to worship the Jewish people. They do not condone even such behavior as they only worship one God; that would be the God who declared Himself not to be a man (Hosea 11:9; Ez 28:2). Jesus too worshiped that same God as part of the chosen son of God. He confirmed this in John 4:24 🙂

There… I hope I have helped to ease some of that jealousy that has seeped into your otherwise good heart, I am sure. The Jewish do not want you worshiping them, but rather God; as did Jesus. Let’s not get carried away with your idolization of them… it is no wonder so many feel heated considering the manipulation of one of their own (not speaking of Jesus). Paul was good at what he did. Unfortunately for Paul and fortunately for us, God is better and all it takes is one who is willing to search the Truth. :o

simplynoone, how wonderfully insightful of you with your choice of nic. :rotfl:

You do not like to be classified. You deny being Jewish, okay, but have claimed to have Jewish views. But here you classify someone else, not by their own claim (as with you), but by your brilliant intellectual deduction. Quite an achievement for simply no-one.♦️

I think you should go and find yourself and be someone.

Sir or Ma’am, I do not really wish to continue this argument with you. You are making the same mistake that Muslims here often make with regard to our historical connection to Judaism. You seem to want to try and “prove” that because Christians do not behave as Jews do, that our religion is somehow false. Jesus Christ, while a Jew, also did many things that were considered to not be in keeping with the Pharisees’ interpretation of Jewish law (by insisting on the immorality of divorce, by claiming that dietary restrictions were of no use in purifying a man if he behaved in an unclean manner, etc). Tell me, then: which one of Paul’s writings was He following in those instances?

This whole “Paul invented Christianity” idea is just not supportable. No one “invented” Christianity so much as those who walked alongside Our Lord, placed their fingers into His wounds, and heeded His call to baptize all nations in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Paul, it should be said, only did the last of these three). That’s one of the reasons why Christians are not so concerned with the laws of Moses. Our religion is founded upon the experiences of those who saw and believed in the risen Christ, whose experiences and stories were passed down for centuries prior to the canonization of the Bible. For those who did not believe then and do not believe now, let them follow whatever they feel compelled to follow. Again, my problem is with your attitude. Your words or ideas cannot shake my faith. I’ve certainly heard worse from anti-Christians.

settle down, child. 🙂 And thank you for acknowledging me properly. Quite thoughtful of you. The difference between your declaration and mine is that you were referring to me as someone else altogether… I thought about it and could see how you might have mistaken that I was defending Islam and thus, I have made it abundantly clear on that thread for your benefit how I feel concerning the 2 religions and the 1 on which they ride.

Now, if he is not jealous, then I am sure he will prove it by taking his part of the Bible and leaving Jesus, the Law, and the Prophets upon the doorstep from which they have been taken; else he will agree with God and say that I am right. The latter would be the ideal considering it is the Truth and a good place to be at. 🙂 If he does such, I will most sincerely apologize. If he does not, then I was right… though, I did note that the jealousy was decietfully planted there by another.

If I must be identified for purposes of easing your anxiety concerning me (which is appreciated, mind you), I am a daughter of God; He personally gives me wisdom and out His mouth, He teaches me knowledge and understanding. How blessed am I?

Oh, no, I still think you are Muslim Woman. So, this is the third flag to me that you are. It’s ALL ABOUT YOU.

When I reply to what you actually say, then you can claim I have any respect for you. But yes, I do acknowledge you, I also think you’re a troll on here. But go on with self-feeding your ego, someone has to.

This post is much more sincere than the last. I rather enjoyed reading it and hearing how you see things. I do note your wish to not continue and I respect that right. I will respond and will not expect an reply… though will be happy if you decide otherwise.

Pretty much, all that needs to be said is that Jesus was Jewish as you acknowledged. He said where his teachings could be found and Paul’s mouth/pen was not it. I would be happy to consider your supporting evidence of Paul’s teaching that Jesus was the LORD God so long as it is within the context of the Law and the Prophets. All it would take is one line saying Jesus is the LORD God… or even Jesus is the only Son of God. After all, if Jesus, being God in your opinion, submitted himself to this method of confirmation for his teachings… surely Paul’s would be more subject to the same judgment. I will await… though, again… I respect your right to bow out. 🙂

🤷 A knowledgable troll though huh? No worries about the respect. As you noted, I have more than enough for myself to not be concerned with whether you acknowledge or not that I am right. Does not change the fact that I am. 👍

I don’t bother with the content of your posts, so have no comment on your knowledge. Your introductory rants of being persecuted by Christians in the USofA etcetera were enough to see you had some issues.

However, this reply of yours says far more about you than I ever could.
