What Is Hell?

this question of those given holy orders following their own path may not be answered now but giving sugestions is never a bad thing.
Let’s take this from a different perspective.

In every parish, and apparently here as well, there is always a small core of people who are never satisfied and constantly complaining. Four different people that I know personally come to mind instantly. They have been “members” of every parish within a 40 mile radius of here, yet they just keep cycling about.

Must be the Church, not them, right?

So, when you have the same three people in a parish always complaing to the pastor and writing letters to the Bishop, they tend to get tuned out. Does the “Boy Who Cried Wolf” come to mind?

Now on the other hand, what if something happened at a Mass, ans THREE HUNDRED people commented to the pastor and wrote a letter to the Bishop? Just ONCE, a piece. Perhaps there would be a different result?

I have personally never written a Bishop a letter of complaint. I have on occasion, had a disagreement with a priest/pastor over a secular issue. In fact my current pastor commented once, “you aren’t scared of me, are you?”

And, I will occasionally ask him liturgical questions…but I will NOT confront him over matters which he clearly is better trained and knowledgeable about, and tell him that he is “wrong” or “committing abuse”.

So many Catholics have just gone along with all of the error and wackiness, and as a result, we have lost a Catholic way of life. It’s gone. Catholic parents try to send their kids to the local parish school here, and after a year or two, the knowlegeable ones pull them out again and are forced to home-school them because of the poor education. Roughly 70% of the teachers in there are Protestants. Catholicisim is not taught.

Of course, when they go to the principal and board on this matter, they are labeled “complainers”, they are called “medeivalists” and “traditionalists”. Priests and seminarians are not welcome in “our” Catholic school.

Parents who go to the DRE about gross distortions of the Faith being taught in CCD (contraception is a morally neutral choice, Peter was never in Rome and never a Pope, transubstantiation is just an opinion, etc.) are rebuffed and accused of being “judgemental”. When they go to the pastor on the matter, they are told that the DRE is “trained” and “reliable” and “trusted” and that they need to “have faith”. So, the ones who have the ability try to home-school their kids for CCD, but then are denied sacraments for their children because they aren’t “prepared”.

I know you don’t care. I want you to know that I think you, as a representative of your kind, are more to blame for the destruction that has occurred in the Chruch since the 1950’s than any Popes or Cardinals, than any radical theologicans…more to blame than anyone. Why? Because you make war against people’s rightly-formed and well-informed consciences. It’s difficult to gain the courage to stand up against evil, you know there will be reprisals and you know it will cost you to speak up…and just as a lay-Catholic is ready to write a letter to the Bishop about Fr. Flaky’s latest homily on how Jesus loves everyone’s “life choice, whether it be homo or hetero”…you slither out to the end of the branch and whisper in their ear:

“He went to seminary…he surely knows more than you…you have it all wrong…you’re judgemental and non-Christian…he loves everyone, and you have anger in your heart…you are the sinner here, not Fr. Flaky. Put down your pen. Put down the phone. Don’t make waves. Fr. is your rightful authority.”

It took the combined inaction of millions of Catholics who knew better to get us where we are. The movement of those who are standing up against the heterodoxy and destruction is growing. THAT is Traditionalism. It is the opposite of what you stand for.

I do not know yet whether ultimately, traditionalism will be able to reform the current diocesan structures in diocese like mine, or if the reform will have to be carried outin parallel, with traditional parishes and schools operating alongside the liberla ones. We’ll see. But, you can be sure that I will be with the Traditionalists, and I will not give respect where respect is not due. I kiss the hands of the Priest who stands up for the true faith. The lisping embarassments to ordination with greying perms and feminist agendas get no respect form me.

Phooey.

Have you ever stopped to consider how “protestant” your remarks are?

Gah, you would have been a big hit during the Arian Heresy. You’d have made a fine tool for the heretical Bishops.

Again Howard, if you want to get personal with me, PM me and we’ll go from there. On the other hand, if you are venting all your anger with the Church on me, I suppose you’re leaving everyone else alone…🤷

Your posts clearly indicate your lack of respect for Church authority.

Started a new thread for us, Ethelzguy…willbe waiting for your response in it. Stop by if you have the time. 😃

Hell is being constantly told to keep my mouth shut when the church is being torn apart by those who wish to form it to their morality and personal vision to suite their particular life style.🤷

There I tried to bring us back on topic:D

Hell, is being so wrapped up in fault-finding within the Church that one attends Mass on the lookout for “abuse”, rather than absorbing the glory and grace provided us in the Sacrifice of the Mass.

I never go t Mass looking for abuses. I love my parish and it’s Priests. I do not think I have ever seen an abuse there. Now when I attended Mass in San Fransisco on vacation the abuses were not something that had to be looked for they were thrown in your face.🙂
