What is Holy Eucharist outside the Mass?

I have been told that Canon Law states the Holy Eucharist can be partaken of twice in one day, but the second time must be in the context of a Mass.

I am unsure how one can partake of the Eucharist outside of the context of a Mass. What are these other contexts outside of Mass?
