I’ve come across this phrase somewhat frequently lately, and I’d never really heard this before.
“Spirit of Man, or Man’s Spirit”
What exactly is meant by this?
I thought to put this question in Sacred Scripture, but wasn’t sure…

We have a spiritual soul.

The spiritual part of our life is what enables us to have a conscious mind, and everlasting life.

…Unless I was reading it wrong, I understood the context of those phrases with emphasis on ‘Man’.
Man’s spirit, or spirit of man.
Anyone able to offer any additional clarification?

Do you mean the emphasis was male? Or was the emphasis particularly human?

My initial understanding from the way it read was the emphasis was particularly human.

I ought to clarify my question, and I’ll try to. :o

I’ve heard of, “Spirit of Wisdom, Spirit of Understanding,” etc. but not particularly had I before heard the term, “Spirit of Man”.
Thus, as per my understanding, the emphasis is not particularly on ‘spirit’ itself but as it applies to which particular type of spirit.

So, can anyone clarify, or if they’ve heard of the phrase, what exactly does it mean to have a “Spirit of Man” or “Man’s Spirit”? Is it positive, negative, neither, or what exactly does this entail?
