What is the best Catholic Study Bible?

There has been a lot of talk on this Sacred Scripture forum about Catholic study bibles.

I thought a poll would help people, including me, in choosing a good Catholic study bible.

What do you find to be the best Catholic study Bible?

Also: Most people, including me, are looking for a study bible with good commentary. Maps and charts are plusses, but I prefer the good, Catholic, and orthodox notes!

**I didn’t include the Navarre Bible series or the Ignatius series because many people are looking for a good, compact study bible, which I know is hard to fine.
 
**Please explain why your favorite study bible is your favorite.

I like the Catholic Youth Bible. It is the only thing I have been able to find that was similar to my old protestant study bibles.
This is what St. Mary’s Press says on their website about the bible and these are also all the reasons why I like it.

To be perfectly honest, you need to be a bit more specific in the poll. Is this just an NAB study Bible poll? You forgot to mention the New Jerusalem Bible, which has more notes and crossreferences than the NAB. Also, the notes in all those you mentioned are basically the same. The only real difference is that each of those editions includes extra add ins like maps and indexes.

All and all, I would probably go with the St. Joseph NAB. They typically come with a maps, pictures, and a very helpful doctrinal index. Catholic Book Publishing, which does the St. Joseph editions, also did the Confraternity and editions of the Douay-rheims. They all contain some similar info, like the doctrinal index.

Yeah – but I’m the one looking for one.
Then good, I’ll look at the NJB. 🤷
