What is the best resource for a liberal Protestant exploring Catholicism?

What are the best books, videos, etc. to give to someone who had very limited exposure to liberal Protestantism as a child and has since been unchurched? This person is now drawn to the Catholic Church but has many misconceptions. His issues are not those of someone coming from a conservative Protestant background.

Hi,

For starters, I’d have the person view the whole “Catholicism” video series by Fr. Robert Barron. Then see what questions the person has.
