What is the body and blood

In the bible it says that we must eat his flesh and drink his blood, and that means that we consume the body of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In the bible it also says that I, through my baptism, am a member of the Church and thus, a member of the body of Christ.

By this reasoning, does it not mean that I consume myself?
 
We are members of the mystical body of Christ, not the literal body of Christ, which is the Eucharist.

My thoughts:

Entering into an infinitely intimate relationship with Almighty God.

Consuming Something greater and vaster than the Universe.

Embracing the Unembracable.

Containing that which cannot be contained…not a contradiction.

Finity embracing infinity.

Letting Almighty God exault us above the Angels.

Entering a dimension of Heaven.

Consuming the Broken Body of Christ on the cross and consuming His precious Blood spilt for the sins of the world.

Engaging into a mystery beyond human comprehension.

Fortunatly for us we cannot comprehend the mystery. That is a blessing else full knowldge of the reality would crush us.

Indeed, why not worship yourself, or others for that matter. Seriously, why not?

Good thing we can call on the Magisterium…
