What is the Catholic Church's position on circumcision?

What is the Catholic Church’s official position on circumcision? There is a lot of discussion on this topic but I haven’t seen any reply’s that indicate the Church’s position. Is the Church’s position that, “It Is a choice made soley by the partents.”

As a religious matter circumcision pertains to the Old Law and has been replaced in the Church by the sacrament of Baptism. As a medical procedure, the Church has no teaching regarding circumcision any more than it has one regarding the removal of tonsils. Should such procedures become a question of morality, then the Church would speak to the issue. At this point the controversies regarding circumcision are limited to the medical community.
