Obviously I know that the Catholic Church opposes racism and it’s not Christian at all, but I was wondering if the Church has done a defense of it’s position from a Biblical and scientific POV to counter all the nonsense being spewed these days.

On The general topic of racism?

What is this nonsense you speak of?

This is very obvious to those who already believe that people of different races are inherently equal and made in the image of God. As hard as it is to understand, true racists do not operate under this worldview. They don’t see people of other races to be the “others” Jesus was referring to, much in the way we don’t usually see livestock or seacreatures as our equals.

Excellent stuff guys, I agree. I was also looking for some scientific explanations from a Catholic POV too.

Answers in Genesis has some good stuff, but it’s from a Young Earth Creationist pov. Any Catholic apologist tackle this subject or Vatican scientist, how the Bible proves we’re all from once race and how it’s scientifically proven too?

From Pope Pius XI, Mit Brennender Sorge;
  1. Whoever exalts race, or the people, or the State, or a particular form of State, or the depositories of power, or any other fundamental value of the human community - however necessary and honorable be their function in worldly things - whoever raises these notions above their standard value and divinizes them to an idolatrous level, distorts and perverts an order of the world planned and created by God; he is far from the true faith in God and from the concept of life which that faith upholds.

“You shall treat the alien who resides with you no differently than the natives born among you; have the same love for him as for yourself; for you too were once aliens in the land of Egypt” (Lv 19:33-34).
