What is the Church's teaching on "Limbus"?

I was told since very child , now I am 67 years old, that all those children who die without baptism go to the Limbus and there they will have natural happiness but that they will never could go to Paradise, or in other words, they could not have the beatifical vision of God, because of their original sin. I heared thar recently The Pope has given some document about this issue, can you clarify me about this matter, especially what it is a matter of Faith? Thak you!!!
