Can someone explain to me what the Communion of Saints in the Apostles Creed is? I’d kind of like a short summary (mostly out of laziness.) but I’ve also read online in some websites, and don’t really understand.

Thanks and God Bless!

Catechism of the Catholic Church
946 After confessing “the holy catholic Church,” the Apostles’ Creed adds “the communion of saints.” In a certain sense this article is a further explanation of the preceding: "What is the Church if not the assembly of all the saints?"479 The communion of saints is the Church.

479 Nicetas, Expl. Symb. , 10:PL 52:871B.

So it’s just the church? Or is it all the Saints?
Living and dead.

Catechism of the Catholic Church
948 The term “communion of saints” therefore has two closely linked meanings: communion in holy things ( sancta )" and “among holy persons ( sancti ).” …

960 The Church is a “communion of saints”: this expression refers first to the “holy things” (sancta), above all the Eucharist, by which “the unity of believers, who form one body in Christ, is both represented and brought about” ( LG 3).

961 The term “communion of saints” refers also to the communion of “holy persons”(sancti) in Christ who “died for all,” so that what each one does or suffers in and for Christ bears fruit for all.

If you die with God’s love in your heart, you will be saved and a Saint in Heaven. All souls in Heaven are Saints, thus the “Communion of Saints”.

I’m sorry, but I don’t really understand the Catechisms, so the Communion is Saints is all of the new era of the Church (living and dead) or is it the just the Saints?

Ok, that answers my question. Now I’ve got another, what does it mean by Communion?

The word communion comes from Latin communio, which means sharing unity, association and participation.

It is the sacred expression of togetherness: between God and the human soul, between Christ and those receiving Holy Communion, between all in heaven, purgatory, and on earth in the Communion of Saints; and between those in the Catholic Church as a communion of the faithful.

It is the Church, consisting of the Church Triumphant (those holy souls already having realized the beatific vision); the Church Expectant (those souls in purgatory who will join God in heaven when purified or Christ comes); and the Church Militant (those still alive, living holy lives in hopes of realizing the promise of the beatific vision at the time of their death).

Communion of saints is everyone living , dead, or yet to be born who holds the faith.
A community of all the faithful past, present and future.

Earth , Heaven, Purgatory.

Both. The Church Militant is the saints on earth and the Church Triumphant is the saints in purgatory and heaven.
