What is the difference between the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed?

What is the difference between the Nicene Creed and the Apostles Creed? Why do we have both and what is the history of the two and when do we use each one?

Dear Mike,

We use the Nicene Creed at Mass on Sundays and Solemnities. We use the Apostles Creed to begin the rosary.
