What is the eastern most Latin Rite?

I don’t know all of the current Latin or Western rites–I know of the Mozarbic rite and the Ambrosian rite.

Which Western or Latin rite has the most eastern elements?

If the Maronite rite is the Westernmost Eastern rite then what is the Eastern most Latin Rite?

Please forgive me if I’ve offended any Maronites–though I’m Roman rite I go to Maronite Mass(Divnie Liturgy?) each week and love their church.

I guess what I’m asking is which Rites are closest to the middle of a spectrum from west to east?

Also forgive me if I’ve asked an ignorant question–I really am ignorant but would like to know–please school me.

I was puzzled for a moment by the thread title, then I realized that you do have a good question there. (Of course, reading your post would have un-confused me anyhow. :))

A couple weeks ago I brushed up a little on Western Rites, but unfortunately I can’t think of anything I read that would answer this question.

Anyone?

I don’t know if the Maronite Rite is naturally Westernish. I’ve only heard that it’s currently quite Latinized.

I would say that the most eastern of the Western Rites would be the Ambrosian.
 
Details escape me at this moment, but I believe there may have been a time and place (Czech Republic?) when permission was given to say the Tridentine Rite in Church Slavonic. No idea where this came from, but might be worth looking up. If it did exist, that one!

Actually the Ambrosian in its present form is itself heavily Romanized that it was once actually suspected to be a more ancient variant of the Roman rite. 😉 I would propose that the ‘Easternmost’ (i.e. one that closely resembles the grandiose feel of the Eastern liturgies) Western rite would be the now-defunct Gallican liturgies - the Mozarabic Rite is one surviving relative of it. And yes, the Spanish liturgy also had its share of Romanizations, but it retained enough of its character to be distinctive enough.

It was in Dalmatia (part of modern-day Croatia). This privilege was later extended to other Slavic regions between 1886 and 1935.

Yes, but it probably cannot be said that the Tridentine Mass becomes an “Eastern” Latin Rite unto its own simply because it is expressed in Church Slavonic.

BTW - if you extend the scope of the question to include Orthodoxy, an answer might be the seen in the Divine Liturgy of St. Tikhon of Moscow, as used by the Western Rite Orthodox.
 
Sorry. That was the only complete recording of it that I could find a single video. There is a version (maybe the same actual recording; I don’t know) recorded with a full orchestra, I think from TV, available in eight individual videos here. I don’t know why/if looking at people is more interesting, but it’s not letters…

It’s interesting to note that some of the Western Rites that have been on the decline in the Catholic Church for centuries, such and the Ambrosian Rite and the Mozarabic Rite, are now being used by some Orthodox.

I wonder what would have if, say, an Ambrosian Rite parish outside the diocese of Milan, ever decided to come into communion with Rome?
