What’s the best site for showing some of the Greek translations for Biblical Texts? For instance, when Jesus says, “It is I” in John 6:20, I understand it literally translates to “I AM”. What is the original Greek passage (something like “Agoe Ami”)?

Thanks! But I’d like the English Spelling of the Greek Words. Like “Anothen” for Believe… (man, I hope that’s right).

After all, those other two sites are “Greek to me”! Sorry, bad pun.

Close 🙂 - it’s Ego Eimi - or: Εγω Ειμι​

Greek type - and others - can be found in the Character Map. I went to Start → Programs → Accessories → System Tools → Character Map: that may be just how my machine is designed though. ##

I think I found it from the eSword I dowloaded with Strong’s commentary . . . looks like you were about right with the phonetic pronunciation . . .

Here’s the breakdown of I AM in Greek according to strong’s (pronunciation)

Sorry, here’s the eSword link you can download for free. The only “Catholic bible” available there is the Douay-Rheims and the Latin Vulgate. The KJV with Strong’s comes automatically when you download it; the other bibles and extra stuff you can pick and choose what you want, downloading additions individually.
