What is the life of a nun or sister like?

i thought you were male for some reason
 
They have short documentaries on YouTube about the life of the nuns
 
I think you need to clarify if you mean cloistered nuns or active sisters. Their ways of life are very different.
 
I imagine fairly similar to a monk or brother- constant prayer (I suppose nuns, too, would pray the Liturgy of the Hours?), and work during the day (if not cloistered, that is).

This. Many orders or convents actually have descriptions on their website of a typical day in the life of their order. Usually they get up early, spend specific time during the day at prayer, have other specific times during which they spend time working (the type of work varies a lot depending on which order or convent you’re looking at) and have light meals at breakfast, lunch and dinner time.
