does it mean that there is someone who will comes in this world propose by his own name and he will be the one who accept by the people of god in the future? I can’t understand this verse please help me thankssss!!!

It seems its anyone who people find are great, simply because of the deeds that they claim to have done on their own. These are the people that they will follow blindly.

As the Church teaches so beautifully, read it in context!

Sounds to me like Jesus speaking to unbelievers, including our Protestant brothers and sisters who do not receive the Most Holy Eucharist present only in Jesus’ One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church!

The OP is asking because there is a cult in the Philippines where Pastor Apollo claims to be Christ using John 5:43 to justify it. He said the sonship of Jesus ended when he died on the cross and now he (Pastor Apollo) is the Christ, the Son of God.Great observation, I never really gave that verse the thought that it deserves.

But who is it that He here saith shall come “in his own name”?
