All I know is that we are no longer singing the Salve Regina, but I can’t hear the words clearly enough to look it up in the hymnal.

Also, if anyone could help me out and let me know which ones are sung in the upcoming seasons up to Easter, it would be great.

I hope my question is clear.🙂

As an aside, I find the Marian hymns to be extremely bland. It took me a while to warm up to Salve Regina.

Those are usually sung as recessionals, though. I have never heard of them being sung as processionals.

From what I have seen, the two most used Marian hymns are:

Immaculate Mary
(First verse) Immaculate Mary: your praises we sing
You reign now in splendor with Jesus our King.
Ave, Ave, Ave, Maria. Ave, Ave, Maria!

Hail, Holy Queen
(first verse) Hail Holy Queen, Enthroned Above, O Maria.
Hail Queen of Mercy, Queen of Love. O Maria.
Refrain: Sing with us, ye Cheubim. Join with us, ye Seraphim.
Heaven and Earth resound our hymn.
Salve, Salve, Salve Regina.

It’s not either of the above. They’re sung in Latin.

But thanks for posting these. I believe theMC posted the correct hymns.

I did learn the Immaculate Mary because it’s always sung in between decades when we pray the rosary in 1st Friday vigils. For some reason, the melody of the Immaculate Mary sounds very familiar.
