I’ve been pondering what the mass truly is. Any good writings, even quotes will do about the mass and why it’s the most important sacrament?
It is most likely that Baptism is the most important sacrament. However baptism is the first part of Christian initiation and the Eucharist completes it. I would only add that it also represents our own self giving and thanks giving. We offer ourselves through Christ, with Christ and in Christ.The Holy Mass is the Paschal Mystery of Christ’s life, death, resurrection, and ascension made present on the altar.
We get to participate in this Mystery as we are One with Christ in His life, death, resurrection, and ascension.
It is a nuptial, total, and mutual self-giving of Christ and His Church.
