I hope my wording was not offensive in the title of this thread.

What is the significance of the kissing of the hand at the end of the sign of the Cross? What, if any, words are added to the typical invocation? What is the precise practice? I have seen this with boxers and some folks at Church but I am interested in learning more.

Thanks and happy Easter

I was told ,and I am not Hispanic so I can’t say for sure, it is symbolic of kissing the cross

It is how I end the Sign of the Cross, although I am not Hispanic.
The thumb and index form the cross which is symbolically kissed.
If I pray the rosary, I kiss the cross on the rosary before putting it away.
