Is it considered more in line with Orthodox teaching or is it considered no different than Latin Rite Catholic?

traditionally they were known in the Arab wolrd as urthudhuks maghlub “conquered Orthodox.”

It depends. Some are more Orthodox than the Orthodox, others more Latin than the supreme pontiff of Rome.

In Russia, Eastern Catholics, or “graeko-catholics”, or “Uniates” are considered (by majority of orthodox people) to be even worse than Roman Catholics. They are true “traitors of Russian Orthodoxy”. And they are “wolves in sheep’ skins”, Catholics who “mimic” Orthodoxy (by keeping the rite, the Liturgy, most of the traditions etc.), but being servants of the Pope.
I used to dislike them too 🙂

From what I know, this seems to be consistent :o

Somehow, I’m not offended, though. I used to agree as well.

Prayers and petitions,
