What is the Purpose of the Final Judgment?

If our Lord passes judgment on us at the time of our death, why are we judged again at the end of time? He is not going to change his mind. Besides separating the sheep from the goats and giving us our new bodies, what is the point of another judgment?

It’s true that Jesus doesn’t change his mind at the final judgment concerning our particular judgment at death. The Catechism of the Catholic Church, in paragraphs CCC 678, 1039-1040, provides quite a bit of information concerning the judgment at the end of time.
