I don’t know if I am posting this in the right forum, but here goes anyway (let me know if it should be moved to some place else).
I would like to know what the role of a sponsor is for converts. Do they have an obligation to present a candidate to Catholicism, by that I mean are they saying this person (the one converting) is of good standing to become Catholic and presenting them as such to the community?
I would be very grateful for any replies and/or online links that can tell me what exactly is expected of a sponsor.
