What is the truth about this accusation

I wasn’t able to find much about it on these forums but I keep seeing people accusing the Vatican about hiding some priest that is wanted for sexual abuse from the authorities in his country who are trying to prosecute him…

No gets very specific in their accusation but they sure do get angry about it 🤷

Maybe I can get some truth from you wonderful people. Thanks!
 
These forums aren’t really for rumor mongering about individuals.

It’s impossible to answer when they refuse to give specifics. Which is probably why they refuse to give specifics.
 
The burden of proof is on those who make the accusations.

If there is no such person, then all the looking in the world won’t find him (but we’ll be told that "THEY are ‘covering it up’.)

If there is such a person, then the information ought certainly to be easily and readily available, and they should be able to point it out with a link to the appropriate source.

So make them do the work. If they can’t supply a name and a source, but simply ‘I heard from my friend/read it somewhere on the internet and can’t find it now’, then sorry, no dice, tell them you’ll pray along with them for God’s will to be done, but you’re not going to argue or discuss a so-called ‘problem’ that doesn’t appear to actually exist.’

Best guess is that they’re talking about Jozef Wesolowski. It’s not accurate to say that they’re “hiding” him; Google his name and you can find the specifics of his case.
