If you don’t know anything about it, and you know your source is unreliable, why say anything at all? Seriously.
I do know about the University of Mary, firsthand. I know someone who graduated from there. It’s a very up and coming Catholic university with a strong emphasis on healthcare programs, true to its roots as a nursing school. But they also have excellent departments in the liberal arts, including Theology, Philosophy, and, as the OP noted, a great Catholic Studies program. The campus has undergone a lot of upgrades in the last few years, and they are planning a lot more expansion, including a medical school and dental school within the next decade or so. The campus culture seems great, with faculty and students taking part in daily Mass and Eucharistic adoration. And they’re among the less expensive Catholic universities in the US.
From all I know about it, I’d say I would recommend it to someone looking for a Catholic college.
