I am currently helping our Parish Priest with a Apologetices group on Sat. am One of our members was heart broken when she thought she was atteding a Catholic Mass at a church in Boulder City Nevada, called St Judes, Chapel of the Holy Family. They claim to be with the Pope, yet she was not sure when she found out about all the 2nd marriages they performed there. I went to their web sight, stjudesranch.org and it says it is not associated with any particular faith, Yet the said they were with the Pope, can you tell me how this can be if so or if not. Thanks

It appears they’re Episcopalian:
The vision came from Father Jack Adam, an Episcopal priest who wanted to create a safe haven for abandoned children in Southern Nevada. For a time, it seemed fitting he wanted to name the home “St. Jude’s.” St. Jude is the Patron Saint of Impossible Causes. At first, Father Jack’s project seemed to be one of them. Then, in 1966 a group of local leaders came forward to help him.
I could understand why she’s confused.

Could it be that she is confused because of the liturgy used by them and the Novus Ordo Mass she is used to??? I mean since the changes in 1969 our liturgy is basically the same as the Episcopal one now isn’t it?

I would assume so. At least that’s what my Anglican hubby tells me all the time in comparison to the Anglican/Espiscopalian services vs the Catholic Mass.
